The Climbing phase will begin with 2 weeks in sunny Spain. Spain offers us warm and dry conditions which are essential for a good learning environment to maximise your climbing skills. Whilst in Spain we will be staying in a number of self contained villas near to Benidorm. On our return to Britain your climbing will progress on the crags of Devon and Cornwall. You will continue to be taught and supported by the instructing team to gain the skills required to attend the Single Pitch Award (SPA) training course. This will include climbing technique, movement on the rock, rope work, lead climbing, personal abseiling.

The Single Pitch Award is a nationally recognised climbing supervisor award offered by the Mountain Leader Training Board UK(MLTUK) with whom you will need to register to attend the SPA training course.
The Scheme offers committed rock climbers a way to gain a qualification to lead groups on simple rock climbs.
