This intermediate course is designed for kayaker's who want to make the move from flat water into something more challenging. The course will focus on preparation for running white water rivers including paddling techniques, reading and understanding white water and safety considerations. This will be a dynamic course and will take place on the South West's classic rivers.

Is it for me ?

You need to be able to control a kayak on flat water. This would include being able to turn the craft and paddle in a straight line. Any previous experience on moving water would help but in not essential. You should also be comfortable with capsizing and being in water.

Course Details

An assessment of your paddling ability to allow us to set some personal objectives and goals for the course
Once on moving water you will be breaking in and breaking out to and ferry gliding to allow controlled running of rapids. Safety and equipment for running rivers will also be covered.
