Week 2 - Week 2 Spain it gets hotter!!
On the last day of the first week of climbing all the group had achieved at least one lead on the bolts quite a step up from top roping for both the climber and the belayer. The sense of exposure for the climber is heightened when the possiblity of a fall is real. Despite this the group took off into week two and blitzed everything we could find up to French 5/5+
A fantastic week of great climbing and great weather.

A break to apply the sun tan cream!! This south facing crag in the mountains is quite high and is usually a great venue when its hot not today despite the heat the climbing was great.

At the top of a sport route the climber has to thread their rope through a lower off ring. This process involves untying from their rope. Its not a difficult operation but it does need to be done correctly for obvious reasons.

When climbing its great to have a try at something harder. Each day a number of stiffer routes were put up for those that wanted to have a go. In this photo the climber is doing a good job at this climb which is a few grades above what is required.
